BtoBio becomes an integral part of the agrifood event

Milan, 20 July 2012 – There’s an appetite for organic food in Italy. It can be seen in the figures, which show organic products gaining more and more space in Italians’ shopping trolleys. In fact, 2011 registered an increase of 8.9% in the total expenditure on this type of product compared to 2010.

The new, ideal “recipe” in consumer habits, increasingly inspired by the attention to natural products, includes eggs (sales of organic eggs were up 21% on the previous year) and dairy produce (+16.2), as wells as confectionary, snacks and drinks (16%) (source: ISMEA, Gfk Eurisko).

That’s why TUTTOFOOD, the  two-year event devoted to the agrifood business, taking place at Fiera Milano from 19 to 22 May 2013, has chosen to focus on the organic segment by including BtoBio among the exhibition sectors, an ever growing world entirely dedicated to organic and functional products.

BtoBio, which coincided with the last edition of TUTTOFOOD, has been acquired in its entirety by Fiera Milano to become an integral part of the event. The previous edition of the show on, organic food saw 7,000 trade visitors, 840 of which were international buyers from 64 countries and about 200 exhibitors. Thanks to this important acquisition, TUTTOFOOD will give a green hue to its already rich kaleidoscope of exhibits, which will see BtoBio joined by the Dairy, Meats and Cured meats, Confectionary, Mixed products, Frozen foods and Ho.Re.Ca sectors.

Ever attentive to quality products and winning, innovative ideas, TUTTOFOOD will thus be giving over ample space to an important force, both in terms of the ethics that organic products encompasses, as well as for the power of its success, which must be certainly be a source of reflection and attention for all the agrifood trade .

The culture of Italian excellence that TUTTOFOOD will be showcasing to the world is enriched as of today with an important dimension, definitely a source of inspiration for foreign buyers and trade professionals that see the Italian agrifood culture as an important international benchmark.
